Taken by Him: A Dark Mafia Arranged Marriage Romance (Mafia Brides Book 1)

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Four years ago I signed a contract. Today Dominik Staszek came to collect what is his.

Seeing her sixteen-year-old twin sister buckling under the arrival of her intended to sign the arranged marriage contract, Kasia decides to step in. Attending the meeting on her behalf, although their father is not fooled by the switch. With two years of grace until the wedding, they go back to their lives. Although Maria and their mother are killed in an accident before the intended wedding, Kasia assumes that the contract is now void. Until Dominic arrives four years after the original contract signing and she has just graduated college.

The marriage agreement between the two families was supposed to end a feud, however, it appears that Kasia’s father has been eating into the Staszek territory, as well as causing issues with the Feds – something that saw his father and sister returning to Poland to avoid the drama. Wishing to seek revenge and gain answers as to what has been happening Dominik decides that it is time to claim his mafia bride. Pleased that it is Kasia coming home with him rather than Maria.

Attempting to fight his commands and demand answers doesn’t go too well for Kasia. Receiving punishments for her disrespect, although there is a fine line between pain and pleasure. Taken away from everything she is surprised to hear from her father who has never really shown her much love. Although he is wanting her to spy on her new husband, is she willing to do this? Or is there more going on than she is aware of?

Kept by Him: A Dark Mafia Arranged Marriage Romance (Mafia Brides Book 2)

Rating: 4 out of 5.

My family took something from the Russian mob. Now they’ve taken something back.

Returning home from Poland with her father, Lena should be heading over to her older brother’s house to meet his new wife. Insisting that she catches up with her best friend’s first she promises that she will head over soon. Whilst having coffee she starts to feel sick and dizzy so makes excuses to leave. Heading to her car she blacks out and wakes in a holding cell which is cold and dirty.

Micah was always supposed to be the spare heir, his father groomed his older brother Igo for the role as Russian mafia don but Igor was killed in an accident, leaving Micah having to step up to the plate. Whilst Micah is attempting to increase the families legitimate side of things, his father is pushing the sex trafficking side of things. Taking Lena as a prisoner as an act of revenge after her brother (and his new wife) interrupted and released one of their shipments.

Wanting more territory and power his father makes a deal with Lena’s family – an arranged marriage to Micah, something neither of them wants. Wishing to make the best of the situation he gives her as much freedom as he can and allows her to continue her studies etc. – much to the annoyance of his father. But as things start to go well for the couple, family interference throws a spanner in the works and makes them face their feelings for each other.

Captivated by Him: A Dark Mafia Arranged Marriage Romance (Mafia Brides Book 3)

Rating: 4 out of 5.

When the mob came after me, Jakub Staszek kept me safe. But his protection has a price…

Visiting a nightclub with her two friends five years ago, Nicole was underage and her fake ID didn’t cut it at the bar when she attempted to order a drink. Unknowingly served by the owner and second mafia son Jakub Staszek who promptly took her to one side and orders her a ride home, not before he gives her his number. A month of hot sex between them before Nicole moves to New York with her father (a hired muscle for a rival mafia family).

Whilst Jakub might be the spare heir he works hard to build his families clubs and restaurants on the legitimate side of the family. Expanding the Katfish club, his manager Nora needs an extra pair of hands and hires someone to manage the bookings etc. Meeting with the new hire who will also be helping with the marketing for the new expansion he is surprised to see Nicole standing in his office. Despite the chemistry between them he attempts to keep things professional but a visit from a rival family looking for her has him asking questions about her return to Chicago.

Needing protection or facing the prospect of life looking over her shoulder Nicole reluctantly agrees to Jakub’s idea to temporarily get married. Giving her his last name will protect her, although they have to work hard to keep feelings out of it. Especially when they work so well together, not least in the bedroom. Failing to listen to Jakub’s overprotectiveness Nicole takes matters into her own hands several times with repercussions for doing so. Can they find a way to be together or is this just a temporary situation?
