Collapsing whilst playing tennis with Luca, he receives the news that he is in heart failure, and without medication and a heart transplant, he has just months to live.

As a cardiac surgeon, Celeste Carter doesn’t really see her patients much beyond consultations, surgery, and post-op care. They are usually transferred to their cardiologists; however, a consultation with a young patient with severe heart failure doesn’t go as she expected when he refuses medication and states he’ll be in touch about being added to the donor register. She wondered if he truly understood the seriousness of his condition until she got a call.
