Winnie The Pooh is a loveable series of books and now tv programmes and films that have children and adults captivated over the years. A loveable bear, a heartwarming donkey, an excitable Tigger, an overwhelmed piglet, and a wise owl, just to name a few of the prime characters. Not to mention Christopher Robin himself.

It is fair to say that some of the most well-known words of wisdom and advice are quoted straight from Winnie The Pooh. I wanted to share with you some of the best quotes from the Winnie The Pooh series

“Any day spent with you is my favourite”

How nice is this? Wouldn’t it be so lovely for someone you love to say this to you? I think we can all resonate with the fact that even with our partners and children this is one quote to remember. To even say it out loud sometimes will make their day for sure.

“Think, think, think”

We have all been there, haven’t we? Talking to ourselves and I think with this quote we can see Winnie The Pooh saying it to himself. We can all get flustered, and often taking a moment to think is the best advice anyone can give you.

“I wonder how many wishes a star can give”

Have you ever stared up at the sky to look at the stars and look to make a wish? Many of us will have done this at some point in our lives or even encouraged our children to make a wish upon a star. It can be quite comforting, especially if you are not feeling yourself right now.

“The most important thing is, even when we are apart … I’ll always be with you”

This was a quote that many of us have been reminded of in recent times thanks to the pandemic and being separated from our loved ones. It is a reminder that the people who touch our hearts in our lives will always be there. Even when they are apart. This is a great quote to help deal with loss and separation. Comforting to know that the people you care about will always be with you in some way.

“You’re braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think”

One of the more well-known quotes from the Winnie The Pooh series is this one. I think many parents will agree that these words of encouragement can be wise to tell your children, especially in moments of doubt. Knowing that they are brave, strong, and smart gives them a confidence boost without you even realising it. We all have our own superpowers inside.

“Sometimes the smallest things take up the most room in your heart”

Another very well-known quote is this one. The smallest of gestures and kindness can often be the ones that fill our hearts with love and joy. It doesn’t always need to be grand, it is the thought that truly counts in everything.

“I am short, fat, and proud of that”

This quote is more than just stating the obvious, it is about self-love and acceptance and something we should all be doing more of. No matter what you think your flaws our, you are you and you can only be that person. So it is time to embrace who you are and be proud of that. Wise words from Winnie the Pooh here.

“If you live to be one hundred, I hope I live to be one hundred minus one day, so that I never have to live a day without you”

There’s nothing to say too much about this quote, other than the fact I think we can all agree with it that we wouldn’t want to live a day without the special people in our lives.

“Oh, bother”

Hands up who’s said this at some point in our lives? We have all been there when things don’t go our way.

“A hug is always the right size”

A hug will fix most things don’t you think? Of course nothing physical but emotional pain and turmoil, love, happiness, you name it, a hug is always the answer. There is just something comforting about that security and love a hug can give.

“After all, one can’t complain, I have my friends”

You can just imagine Eyore saying this, can’t you? Yes, he is always a little down and out in the books but he does come out with some wise words. Sometimes even in the darkest of times, you always need to look for a positive. One positive. Even if that is your family or your friends. The sun shining. A hot shower or a warm cup of tea. You can always find a positive.

“The things that make me different, are the things that make me me”

Another quote centred around self-love and acceptance and once from Piglet himself. We are all different and unique, and that just makes us who we are. So it is all about embracing it.

“A little consideration, a little thought for others, makes all the difference”

An Eyore classic again and one that I think we should all remember sometimes. Consideration thought, and kindness can make all of the difference.

“It never hurts to keep looking for sunshine”

When times are hard it is easier to face the darkness, but much hard to look for sunshine. But when times are tough searching for those rays of hope is one thing that can keep you going. It doesn’t hurt to keep seeking out the good.

“How lucky am I to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard”

We can all resonate with this I am sure. Whether it is a loved one, friend, or pet, we all have something that will make saying goodbye so hard. In truth that makes us lucky.

“If the string breaks, then we try another piece of string”

Finally, if we ever needed a reminder that you just have to keep on trying then this is the one. If the string breaks you simply try another one. If one solution doesn’t work try something else. It is all about keeping going.

I hope these quotes have uplifted you and reminded you how insightful the Winnie The Pooh series is.
