Dual POV
Part of the Alaskan Mountain Bush Pilots Series
I have one rule–I don’t date bush pilots. But if there’s one guy I’m willing to break this rule for, it’s Oliver, and he just walked back into my life after four years away.
Too bad when he looks at me, all he sees is his old friend’s little sister.
Finishing up some paperwork at the Frontier Bush Airline, Piper is looking forward to heading over to see her best friend for dinner on Christmas Eve. Although she’s not sure if it will be an excuse for her to play matchmaker when the only person Piper would like to be matched up with is her brother’s best friend and bush pilot Oliver. Instead, her brother needs her to stay late as there is bad weather and one last flight to be completed. She’s not happy but declares that he owes her one for staying and cancelling her dinner plans.
Hanging around for the weather to clear so that he can take the last run of groceries and toys to a remote village, Oliver is pleased when it clears but there is an issue with the power leaving no runway lights. Taking a risk in order for the children to get their toys he flies over with Piper coming along for the ride. Elated that they pulled it off they hug as they get back to the hangar and share a kiss only to be interrupted by her brother.
Having loved Oliver since she was a teenager she hoped that he would fight for her against the protectiveness her brother likes to show any man who shows interest.
