Headhunted to join Kane Co. as the CFO, WB is hoping to help turn the company around and get it through the much-needed merger with The Christmas Experience. Setting him on the path to bug companies and maybe even a CEO position in the future. Helping him achieve his tick list of things in his life – job, car, place to live, money etc. Although he is still working on finding a wife before adding babies to his life accomplishments. His new role has him working with Joy who couldn’t be more different from him.
Joy is excited to work on some new designs as part of her new role at Kane Co. Needing to increase sales for their Christmas decorations she comes up with a five gold rings concept that might just be the perfect fit for the higher end of the marketplace. WB isn’t convinced and the uptight CFO makes his point known – something she is determined to prove him wrong on. Although as they push and pull each other over the weeks leading up to Thanksgiving they begin a friendship of sorts.
They have universally accepted that they are not each other’s type but as the weeks pass they find themselves drawn to each other but bit acting upon it. Until WB takes care of Joy following a fall and they wind up in each other’s arms. A slip in concentration leads to condom going on late – but did this leave lasting consequences?

From her teenage years helping him provide for his mom to his deployments with the Marines when she played games online with him and visited his mom.
Seeing Sophie walk into the Kane Co. Christmas party looking amazing Sam knows that no matter how much he feels for her it will never be good enough. Rejecting her and being harsh about her outfit he pushes her away even though he knows that it will hurt her. Although finding someone else helping her unzip her dress so she can get changed sends him into a jealous fit. A power cut leads to him giving in to his feelings and enjoying a kiss amongst other things with her but as the lights come back on reality hits and he walks away.
Suffering from PTSD Sam has issues with people touching him and tends to push people away to avoid the uncomfortable feeling when they get close. Attempting to keep away from Sophie is hard with their paths colliding several times – each time leading to him blowing hot and cold. Sophie is confused and hurt by his actions – can they ever be more than just friends?
