Managing to find a place to crash and a deadbeat job she isn’t quite living the dream but she is at least trying. Michael the guy from the coffee shop keeps appearing in her life and still appears grumpy no matter what she does. Somewhere along the line, she manages to gain a better job and starts writing a blog about being a single woman in New York. Highlighting the good, the bad and the ugly. However, with things improving with Michael can she really give up her dream of writing for a chance at a happy ever after?

After feeling betrayed by many people in her life Car has a difficult time trusting others. Throwing herself into her vintage clothing store, making her own clothing line on the side as well as perusing 101 dating apps in the hope to find love again. An incident in a nightclub a year ago has her guard up, so she opts to meet her dates at her brother’s bar for safety. A new bartender Myles serves her as she waits for another date and manages to save her from the disastrous date too.

Days later her ex-husband Mark notifies her that he is increasing the rent on the store. Something she can’t afford especially as she is in debt due to a bad business decision made via an old friend. Talking it over with her brother and her accountant she throws herself into trying to increase sales etc. Myles offers to redo her outdated website and makes suggestions on promoting her own clothes rather than the vintage ones as well as selling online. Accepting his help they enjoy a fun and banter-filled friendship.

Despite the attraction to him, she keeps him at arm’s length as he reminds her of her ex too much. Until she gets to know him better and suddenly she sees him in a different light. A push/pull relationship forms but each has past hurts they need to overcome.

Sounds fantastic until she is introduced to Alex’s fiancé Michael and his brother Luke – the man from the plane.

Not all is as it seems as he is heading through a divorce that none of his family knows about. They must work together to finish the wedding preparations whilst Alex writes the last part of her manuscript. Unable to fight the attraction they fall into each other’s arms. Enjoying each other, books, games, and movies. Although things get difficult when Luke’s ex is his date for the wedding and their secret is unmasked.
