Totally Booked UK Review: Wren fell in love with Barrett when she was 12 years old, but as a friend to one of his younger sisters, he has never seen her as anything more than that. A late-night rescue from the local honky-tonk with Tatum has a slightly drunken Wren and Barrett sparring as he attempts to get her home safely – without Kyle (the turkey) attacking her on the porch. But finally crossing the line seems perfect until he sneaks out whilst she is in the bathroom and has her fleeing to Thailand for three months.

As the oldest McGuire sibling, Barrett has always had people around him but somehow feels as though he is standing on the sidelines looking in. His divorce knocked him for six, even though he is on good terms with his ex and even planning on attending her upcoming wedding. He has spent the last three months analysing and learning all there is to know about Wren after their night together. Pleased to have her home after her impromptu sabbatical but still unable to openly communicate his feelings for her.

They regain their friendship even though Wren is not the same person who left Bad Dog. They find their lives interconnecting as they deal with patients, accept wedding invitations, and a conference and decide to take a risk on love but the path of true love never runs smoothly and when Barrett overhears some gossip will he choose to take it to heart and lose the woman he loves?
