The Undomestic Goddess (Jun 2009) by Sophie Kinsella

Rating: 4 out of 5.

Life is busy for Samantha, a top lawyer in London who is hoping to become the youngest partner at the best law firm. However, after discovering a mistake she runs for the hills, well the Cotswolds, in shock of the error.

Stumbling into a housekeeping job that she is most certainly underprepared for. She struggles with everything. She might have a fantastic brain but she is lacking in domestic skills. The gardener Nathaniel takes pity on her and offers to help her learn the ropes.

It took me a good third of the way into the book before I started to get into the storyline. Feeling it was a little far fetched that she couldn’t complete any domestic chores (how the other half live).
