Moving on with her brother in LA after returning to the US from living in Europe, Willa is hoping it will be a short term thing. With plans to open her own Etsy store for her own line of perfumes, she has been applying for positions in a similar field without success. Her brother Nico invites her out for lunch with his best friend Shane – who she has been infatuated with since she was twelve years old, meeting him on the set of the Disney show he was on with her brother.
Finding himself solo parenting for three months whilst his ex-wife is filming in Poland just got worse when their nanny quit to go and get married. Shane just about manages to get the twins dressed, fed and to school on time. His sleeping pattern is still very much all over the place but he has errands to run and to meet up with Nico – and find a new nanny. Seeing Willa again after so long sparked something in him and jumps at the suggestion from Nico that she could be the twins’ nanny whilst she gets her Etsy store up and running.
Attempting to keep her attraction to Shane under wraps she hopes that she’ll be able to juggle managing the twins around developing her perfumes and Etsy store. Although Shane has put his work contracts on hold whilst margo is away he still has some promo work to complete, keeping him somewhat busy – but not busy enough to stop him from falling in love with Willa.

Switching careers from acting to singing, Nico keeps sunny hours around songwriting, promos and gigs. Finding himself at the 101 Diner late one evening he meets Kat who is utterly gorgeous and seemingly immune to his charms. Night after night he finds himself going to see her, inspiring the lyrics he jots them down in his notebook.
Working the night shift is something that works for Kat’s work/life balance with her son Tate. Living with her mom (Lou), she is able to be there for breakfast and the school runs before heading out to the diner in the evenings. Working on her photography and film portfolio as time allows. Bumping into Nico whilst she was out shopping with Lou and Tate gives her the opening to tell him about her life set-up and her reluctance to get involved with him.
Finding out about Kat’s photography/film background, Nico proposes for her to come on tour with him over the summer to film a behind the scenes video and share photos etc. Hesitant about the opportunity Kate would love to do it but what about Tate? Nico invites him and Lou along and they attempt a professional relationship as they travel on his tour bus. But their chemistry is off the scale and seeing how Nico is with Tate warms her heart.

After a bit of bantering, they dance they kiss and she runs off and he has to leave early for an emergency involving his son.
Reaching out to Ryder’s dad following some issues in class Emilia is shocked to discover that it is Alex as he comes in for the parent-teacher conference. Despite still getting her head in the right place following her break-up she is drawn to Alex and tries to resist him. Persistence pays off for Alex as he starts a secret affair with Emilia but what happens when others find out?
