Entrenched in the labs at Belladonna, Daphne loses all track of time. Desperately trying to find a breakthrough in her research. Torn between caring for her and acting on his revenge. Finding out that she really is as pure and innocent as he hoped has him changing his revenge plans, as she’ll now be paying for the actions of others with her body.
Whilst he may be a beast, there is something comforting and safe to Daphne when she is around him. Pushing her boundaries she knows that he will never push her too far and shows her the balance between pleasure and pain. But with her father’s health failing and her needing answers will he be able to let her go?

Disappointment with how easily she slipped back into her old life Daphne can’t help but kick herself for not saying no to Adam’s public proposal. Whilst Daphne was unaware for a number of years it soon became apparent to her that the only reason she was conceived and born was to prove stem cells for her sick mother. Her scientist father conducted tests and experiments on her throughout her childhood in the hope of finding a cure for Battleman’s. Being born to a parent with the disease it was possible for her to also carry the illness and has previously suffered two series bouts due to it.
Finding out that Daphne has Battleman’s and has had bouts of the disease comes as a shock to Logan. Seeing her relapse remission and being stuck in hospital is almost too much for him to bear. Determined to get her home and well again he does all he can to find a cure for the disease and give them the future he wanted with her.
Contending with illness is one thing but they also have Adam waiting in the wings to do his utmost to destroy Logan and Daphne’s chance at happiness.
