Totally Booked UK Review: Author Riley has been stuck in a writing block, whilst the hustle and bustle of city life is usually productive in helping her find the words needed for her next thriller novel. With a deadline looming she heads out of the city after booking a remote cabin for a month to get her head down and meet her deadline. Although her car breaking down halfway up a mountain didn’t feature in her getaway, neither did finding out that the cabin she booked isn’t real having been scammed out of a month’s rental money.

Bear’s family have lived on the mountain next to Whispering Winds for centuries. Although he left to go to college, get a high-paying job etc. he still felt the call of the mountain and returned to his roots. Hearing a scream close to his cabin he heads out to investigate, coming across an abandoned car and then finally the most beautiful woman he has ever laid eyes on. Offering to help her get to town the walk to his cabin the long way around so that he can find out more about her and spend more time in her company.

Reluctantly taking her into Whispering Winds to see if the Inn has a room available, Bear is pleased when Reily decides she’d rather stay with him. The tension in the air crackles as she tries some of Mom’s Blackberry Cobbler and Bear has to listen to her moans. Finally giving into their attraction they discover that neither has had anyone touch them before and now nobody else will be.

The town’s mechanic is unable to fix her car until his nephew arrives; she is stuck for a day or two. After spending the night at the inn and enjoying some of mom’s blackberry cobbler she heads out on a hike.

Born and raised on Whispering Windsmountain Griff tends to keep himself up in his cabin. Venturing into town for supplies when needed – which is where he spots a beauty from a distance. Returning home he can’t seem to shake thoughts of her from his mind. Whilst out with his dog he hears a scream and rushes over to find the beauty from town who has fallen down a ravine and injured her ankle. With a storm heading their way he takes her back to his cabin.

Each harbouring their own attraction to the other they navigate spending time together in a confined space. Opening up about their lives, including why Griff no longer practices as a doctor to Penny’s failed attempts at medical school applications. Chase had different plans for his life, those crashing and burning when injury forced the end of his potential NFL career. He was still reeling from this when Lizzy surprised him with a kiss and he knew that he was not in the right place to show her how he felt about her. He’s been hiding out in his mountain cabin and only coming into town as necessary, completing his tasks for the Inn remotely. Born and raised in Whispering Winds, Aiden is known to be somewhat of a recluse, really not liking to travel too far from home. That is unless his woodworking idol is hosting an event nearby. Returning to his cabin he notices that there are a few things not quite right – especially when he finds that most of the blackberry cobbler his sister Lizzy left for him has been eaten. Feeling as though he has stepped into a fairytale he finds Goldilocks fast asleep in his bed.

Waking up to find the mountain man owner has returned from Juliet apologising for all the mess she has made. Whilst Aiden feels he should be angry and throw her out he can’t help but think and feel that she is the missing part of his life on the mountain. Following an accident several years ago Beau faced a long recovery and also the end of his marriage – his wife did not wish to help him recuperate or deal with his scars. Since then he has thrown himself into his art and has lived a quiet life ever since. Seeing Quinn in the coffee shop had his heart feeling things he never thought he would experience again. However, Quinn is young and full of life. What would she want with a scarred old mountain man? Opting to keep his distance and sketch her to get visions of her out of his head.

After overhearing that Quinn is looking to date via the local matchmaker Beau realises he needs to act or miss his opportunity with her. Finding out that her apartment has flooded and needs somewhere to stay he offers for her to stay with him. Quinn, amazed by Beau’s beautiful cabin and studio, opt to huddle indoors to ride out the pending snowstorm. Allowing them to talk, spend time together and act upon the attraction.

Totally Booked UK Review: Kindergarten teacher Daisy moved to Whispering Winds in the hope of escaping her mom’s matchmaking attempts. Whilst she loves her job and the mountain town, especially with her puppy Oreoo in tow she has just had the misfortune of a poplar tree falling through her apartment roof. Moving into the Inn whilst repairs take place she is not keen on the month-long timeline her landlord thinks it will take to fix things. Needing fresh air she heads out on a walk with Oreo who practically drags her along.

Reid is the town’s resident veterinarian, taking over his father’s practice after medical school. His days are filled with animal-related incidents, although being accosted on the street and a dog eating the last of mom’s famous cobbler is a new one for him. It did, however, put him face to face with the beautiful Daisy who can’t apologise enough for her dog, Oreo. Managing to get her number to arrange puppy training etc. he is most miffed when it turns out to be for the local Chinese takeaway.

Their paths finally cross again at school as Reid collects his nephew from Daisy’s class. They agree on a date but Reid is frantic when Daisy doesn’t show and hasn’t been seen since she went hiking with Oreo. As they reconnect he is taking no chances this time around and has her coming to stay at his cabin where they discover more about each other.

Totally Booked UK Review: Contemplating whether or not he should make a trip down to Whispering Winds the nearest town, Wolfie can’t recall the last time he ventured down the mountain. Able to live off the land and swap goods at farmer’s markets and fellow mountain dwellers there isn’t much that he needs. Living in a remote cabin with a dog, Blaze, who he found and nursed back to health after a forest fire. Heading up to the fire tower to make some repairs he is knocked off his feet when a beauty stumbles into view and collapses.

Waking up from the most vivid dream, Poppy is unable to recall who she is, how she has found herself in the mountains and anything about her life. A fall and bang to the head account for the lost memory, she has to hope that it will come back to her. In the meantime, her saviour mountain man is by her side and she has never felt so at home than when she is with him. Resting up and spending time in his cabin she slowly begins to remember fragments.

Feeling selfish for once in his life, Wolfie is not keen to let Poppy go now that she is here with him. Discovering that she has a whole different life away from the mountain he knows that their time together is limited. Not wanting to return to reality, Poppy attempts to show Wolfie how much she loves being on the mountain and being with him. But will their lives be pulled apart once memories return despite the attraction and love between them?

The Scrooge Of The Mountain: Mountain Men of Whispering Winds Book 7 by Tessa Klein

Totally Booked UK Review: Interior designer Eva loves Christmas and absolutely adores it so when talking with her matchmaker Juliet she was thrilled to be matched with someone who also loved Christmas. For their first date, they were due to spend a week in a cosy cabin in Whispering WInds until he pulled out at the last minute due to getting sick. Contemplating staying home with her family and being relegated to the kid’s table again she decides to head to the cabin anyway. Who knows she may be able to arrange another match whilst she is there.

Returning to Whispering WInds was something his Grandpa made him promise but something Nick had been putting off. A call from his friend Aiden looking for help building cabins on the mountain for his new rentals business finally had him returning. For the past month or so he has been staying in one of the completed cabins as his parents’ old home is not livable at the moment. Luckily the Christmas booking looks like it has been cancelled which helps his housing problem and he can hide from all the town’s festivities as he is known to be a Scrooge.

As Nick returns to the cabin he is surprised to find Eva is not only there but has brought Christmas with her. She is shocked to find him with her dog as she comes out of the shower and he gets an eyeful. Deciding that they can share the cabin for the week she attempts to get him to find his love of Christmas again, whilst Nick simply wants her to stay forever.
