The Bucket List to Mend a Broken Heart by Anna Bell

Abi’s barely left her bed since Joseph, the love of her life, dumped her, saying they were incompatible.
When Joseph leaves a box of her possessions on her doorstep, she finds a bucket list of ten things she never knew he wanted to do. What better way to win him back than by completing the list, and proving they’re a perfect match?

But there’s just one problem – or rather, ten. Abi’s not exactly the outdoorsy type, and she’s absolutely terrified of heights – not ideal for a list that includes climbing a mountain, cycling around the Isle of Wight and, last but not least, abseiling down the tallest building in town . . .Completing the list is going to need all Abi’s courage – and a lot of help from her friends. But as she heals her broken heart one task at a time, the newly confident Abi might just have a surprise in store . . .

Totally Booked UK review: Abi starts discussing plans with her boyfriend Joseph as to what they could do for their year anniversary. Joseph decides suddenly that they should split, telling her that they aren’t compatible. Abi descends into a spiral of self-pity. Taking to her flat and only appearing for essentials.

After a dramatic haircut and returning to work Abi is starting the think that she can attempt to start her life again. However, Joseph leaves a box with all her things in his house. Finding his ‘things to do before I’m 40 list’ she decides that the perfect way to win him back is to complete the bucket list. Even if almost all of them make her shake with fear.

Setting out to complete the list she makes a new group of friends via one of her work colleagues. Including Ben who takes pity on her when he hears the real lesson about why she is completing the Bucket list and offers to help her.

The Good Girlfriend's Guide to Getting Even by Anna Bell

When Lexi’s sport-mad boyfriend Will skips her friend’s wedding to watch football – after pretending to have food poisoning – it might just be the final whistle for their relationship.
But fed up of just getting mad, Lexi decides to even the score. And, when a couple of lost tickets and an ‘accidentally’ broken television lead to them spending extra time together, she’s delighted to realise that revenge might be the best thing that’s happened to their relationship.
And if her clever acts of sabotage prove to be a popular subject for her blog, what harm can that do? It’s not as if he’ll ever find out . . .

Totally Booked UK review: Lexi and Will have been dating for seven years and although they live together and have a joint mortgage, that’s as close as they have gotten to commitment. Life has been kind of stale in the romance stakes, with Lexi somewhat of a sporting widow. Life is planned around what sporting event is taking place that week etc.

When Will fakes food poisoning to miss one of Lexi’s best friends wedding she finds out via a text message from a work colleague who spots him on Sky Sports! She is mad, really mad! Instead of having it out with him, she opts for a little dose of revenge. Although things don’t quite go to plan.

An easy read but not one that you are desperate to see what happens next.

It Started With A Tweet: The perfect laugh-out-loud love story by Anna Bell

Daisy Hobson lives her whole life online. But when her social media obsession causes her to make a catastrophic mistake at work, Daisy finds her life going into free-fall…

Her sister Rosie thinks she has the answer to all of Daisy’s problems – a digital detox in a remote cottage in Cumbria. Soon, too, Daisy meets a welcome distraction there in Jack, the rugged man next door.

But can Daisy, a London girl, ever really settle into life in a tiny, isolated village?

And, more importantly, can she survive without her phone?

However, a cheeky tweet before a Tinder date finds her in hot water as it goes out from her work account rather than her personal one. Needless to say, she is fired.

Fearing that her life is in tatters, her sister convinces her to complete a digital detox. Which turns out to be a rouse for helping her do up a farmhouse she has bought in Cumbria. With her fingers still twitching to access social media, she realises that maybe they both need a little time away from the real world. But can a busy city girl really last in the remote hills?

An easy read, with a journey through sibling relationships, misconceptions and life-changing decisions.
