Getting home from work covered in dirt and sweat, Darcy is rushing to grab a shower before her best friend and roommate Indie gets home. Dashing to put her wet hair up in a messy bun as they head out of the door to Indie’s tattoo appointment at Eye Candy Ink. Something she booked five months ago as the studio has an extensive waiting list. Arriving Indie tells her how hot the tattooists are and she didn’t exaggerate their hotness when she spots Atlas checking Indie in for her appointment.
Atlas has been working at Eye Candy Ink since he finished his apprenticeship, thankful to Zeke for taking a chance on him. Across the years he has excelled in his designs and takes pride in his work. Brushing off the advances from the women who come in for a tattoo. Seeing Darcy come in to support her friend whilst Mischa completes her tattoo he instantly realises that she is different to all the women he has met before. Needing to be near her he watches her in Mischa’s room and chats about a tattoo she has in mind for herself. Stressing to her that he has to be one to complete it, nobody else is allowed to do it for her.
Waiting for Darcy to book her tattoo appointment is agony for Atlas, even searching the system for her friend’s details which has highlighted a system issue. Finally speaking to her and booking her in after hours he is pleased with the design along her spine as requested. Getting to know each other they spend the next weeks texting and working around each other’s schedules to meet up. Finally sleeping together Darcy is looking to surprise Atlas after work, however, as he is finishing off an appointment she peeks into his room to see a client coming on to him. Dashing off without seeing the outcome or explanation from Atlas. is this the end of their love affair?

Mischa has been guarding his heart since he was a teenager. Compiling a list of rules to ensure that he keeps the women that cross his path at arm’s length. Something that worked well for him until he met Indie who came in for a tattoo one day and as she left she hugged him, instantly breaking one of his rules. His path crosses again with her as best friend starts to date his friend and colleague. Spending time with her so that Darcy and Atlas can work things out he begins to break more rules.
Having seen what love did to her mom, Indie has opted to keep things simple in her life by not really dating. Throwing herself headfirst into her work she has fended off those who were not happy that she earned more than them etc. Finally taking the plunge and getting a tattoo she is blindsided by how she feels for Mischa. Seeing his reluctance to date they start as friends of some kind before moving on to friends with benefits. Giving him her virginity she enjoys the physical side of things with him.
Sleeping together, staying the night and sharing dinners they are effectively dating without the label which suits Micah. Indie wants more from him as she has fallen for him over the weeks. Her declaration of love has him running the other way hiding from the feelings everyone else can see but he is not able to accept. Realising that he needs to deal with his past he seeks help but has he pushed Indie away for good?

Sam Kavan was raised by her dad and two brothers so she’s always seemed to fit in more as one of the guys.
After a string of failed dates, she’s ready to give up on the opposite sex altogether. She doesn’t want to go out with boys who send her dick pics or who text at midnight looking to hook up.
Tired of dating boys who are lacklustre in all departments, Sam is looking for a man, a real man not a silly little boy. Whilst dealing with a boy who simply won’t take the hint that she’s not interested one evening in Eye Candy Ink where she works as a receptionist and piercer. She spots a man waiting on one of the couches in the foyer. Finally giving up being subtle towards the boy she explains that she’s not interested, Zeke comes up behind her to offer support, with the man raising to his feet but both are not needed as she puts the boy in his place.
As a silent partner in the tattoo parlour, Max doesn’t often head over to meet up with his childhood friend Zeke. Usually meeting at one of his restaurants or bars. but he’s pleased he came over when he watches Samantha in action. Sensing that she needs a real man to tempt her into dating again he attempts to find out more about her from Zeke. Showering her with texts, flowers and meal deliveries doesn’t seem to be the right way to gain her attention.
After observing Sam, Max realises that she likes to place down little tests to see how he’ll deal with them. Including getting a piercing and knowing that he’ll have to wait three months to have sex. He helps her dye her hair, catch breakfast together before work etc. Slowly they find their groove and Max manages to pass as suitable from her second family at Eye Candy Ink as well as her real family when they make a surprise visit.
